The Application Options of SafeClean allow you to choose which Applications are to be cleaned and which cleaning operations are to be performed for a specific Application. These Application Options provide exceptions to the Global Options.

To set options for an Application, select the Application from the drop-down list.



When you have selected an Application, the company/author and website of the Application will be shown.

To toggle cleaning for an Application, click the Application will be cleaned checkbox. When the checkbox is not selected, the Application's cleaning options will be grayed out, and any files and folders associated with this Application will not be cleaned.

To customize the cleaning options for an Application, use the following checkboxs:

• Clean Internet Cache - Allows you to enable the cleaning of Internet Caches for this Application.
• Clean Internet History - Allows you to enable the cleaning of Internet Histories for this Application.
• Clean Internet Bookmarks - Allows you to enable the cleaning of Internet bookmarks (ie. Favorites) for this Application.
• Clean Instant Messenger Conversation Logs - Allows you to enable the cleaning of conversation logs for this Application.
• Clean Deleted E-Mail Messages - Allows you to enable the cleaning of deleted e-mails for this Application.
• Clean Sent E-Mail Messages - Allows you to enable the cleaning of sent e-mails for this Application.

At times, options will be shown for some Applications, but not for others. This is because some cleaning options are not avaible for certain Applications. For example iChat does not provide e-mail services so the Clean Deleted E-mail checkbox and the Clean Sent E-mail checkbox is not shown.

At other times, an option will be grayed-out for an Application for one of the following two reasons.

1. The Application is not being cleaned. If you wish to clean this Application, click the Application will be cleaned checkbox.
2. The associated Global Option for that cleaning operation is not selected, and the cleaning operation for the Application will not be performed. If you wish cleaning to be done for this Global Option, go to the Global Options tab and click the associated cleaning operation checkbox.
