Changing Netscape/Mozilla Preference Location

The Netscape and Mozilla Applications allow their preference folder to be in user-defined locations. If you have chosen to use a non-default location for this folder, or you have previously had Mac OS 9 installed on your system, you will need to tell SafeClean the non-default location.

To tell SafeClean the non-default location of the folder, follow these steps:

  1. Note the location of the preference folder. This can be found in Netscape's or Mozilla's Preferences menu item, under the Advanced, Disk Cache Folder section. Examples include: /Macintosh HD/Users/MyUser/Documents/Mozilla, /Second HD/MyUser/Mozilla, etc. The default location is HOME/Library/Mozilla

  2. Choose the Netscape/Mozilla Preferences Location menu item.

  3. Choose the Netscape/Mozilla Preferences Folder Location.
