This Quick-start Guide covers the basics of getting SafeShred up and running on your system. With SafeShred, you can permanently remove files from your computer. For more in-depth information, please go to the Detailed User's Guide

Install SafeShred: Double-click the SafeShred Installer from the disk image you have downloaded and follow its on screen directions.
Uninstall SafeShred: Simply double-click the SafeShred Uninstaller located in the ~/Library/Logs folder.
Run SafeShred: Double-click the SafeShred bundle in your Application folder.

Once you have started SafeShred, simply drag and drop files or folders onto the SafeShred icon in the dock. SafeShred will then shred the items.
