The following are known issues with SafeShred:
- Files and folders that are not owned by the user running SafeShred can not be shredded.
- Symbolic links and aliases shred the target instead of the link or alias itself.
- Shredding free disk and shredding entire volumes is only supported on HFS+ volumes.
